Transmission Cooling lines
I am putting in a re-built automatic transmission in a 1995 s10 Blazer V6 pre OBD2. The cooling lines look pretty bad and have flair style fittings on them.
1) I checked O'Rielly's, AutoZone, Advanced and Rock auto for a direct replacement. Nothing.
Amazon has a braided hose kit. It has straight fittings that go from AN6 Male to 1/2 x 20 Male Inverted, and a AN6 to 1/4 NPT 90 Degree fittings. The AN6 fits the hose, but from what I can see neither the "1/2 x 20 Male Inverted" and "1/4 NPT 90 Degree" ends of these fitting will fit.
2) I see on YouTube people using rubber hose and hose clamps to replace a bad section of tubing.
A) How much pressure are these lines under?
B) Does anyone know where I can buy (new) flair style lines?
C) Not having new lines, I would like to use a braided hose but do not know how to get from the hose AN6 into the cooler and AN6 into the transmission. Or would like to replace sections of the lines with new steel tubing using compression fittings.
I do not want to risk my new transmission any suggestions or advice.

If there are just a couple of sections of line that need to be replaced, there's nothing wrong with compression fittings. If you want to replace the whole lines, I would suggest you buy the tubing in bulk, buy a flaring tool, and make them yourself.
