Default transmission help!!!!!!!!

I have a 1998 blazer 4wd and i have a 1998 s10 transmission 2wd will this work? will the 4wd still work?

the 4wd is in the t-case i think the 4x4 trans are more heavy duty but im not shur on that and idk if the tail shaft is different or not

In order to turn a 2wd transmission into a 4wd transmission, the tail shaft must be swapped. This requires the complete gutting of the transmission and is not for the first timer to attempt. Other than that there are no other differences.

it looks like the tail shaft can come off then should bolt directly to the t case?

Yeah they can be swapped but they both have to be torn down at least to the front planet set to remove the snap ring holding it to the output shaft.
