Transmission Issue

I have a 98 chevy blazer. Had it in the shop last month to replace the torque converter. They also replaced epc solenoid, large reverse boot valve, hardened sun shell, input sprag, complete pump assembly and "Banner Overhaul Kit". It drove ok for 1 month. Woke up 1 morning and it wouldn't go in any gear, wouldn't roll in neutral, no symptoms the night before. It was in my buddies drive and I left it there. When he came home he said he got in it and moved it 6 feet in reverse. He said he felt it go in reverse. He gave a little gas and it moved at first as if the parking brake was stuck, then rolled smoothly. I came later to put it in a position for a tow. It moved, but required a bit of gas. The transmission shop says the drum broke and that only happens with abuse or high line pressure and when high line pressure occurs the pump also blows, which it didn't. So the insinuation is the vehicle was abused , which it wasn't. Are there other ways for the drum to break? Thanks.

Your best bet is if you obvioulsy maintain your vehicle well, and there's no sign of off-roading, whatsoever.
If your truck is in great condition, it's obvious you would not abuse it.
