Transmission Problems Please Help

Default Transmission Problems Please Help

Well i put in a used Tranny with 90000 on it and i got it in and put back together and went for a test drive and all was well. then my check enginve light came on and i didn't have 1st and i can't tell if i have OD but i do have 2nd and 3rd. What could be up with the Tranny.

Where did you get the other tranny? Is it compatible with your vehicle computer wise? What does the fluid look like? etc...etc... Yep, gotta decipher those codes to start with.

well i got the code p0758 which is the same one before that i was getting before i changed the tranny. So does that mean a wiring harness or computer? if you can help i would apprecate it.

P0758 - Shift Solenoid B Electrical

If it did it with two different transmissions, then I would definitely say that it is something either connection/wiring related or PCM related. Check out all of the wiring harness connections between the transmission and the PCM for bent or corroded pins as well as check the harness for damage. You can run a continuity test on the wiring indicated in the link above to see if you may have some broken wires. While you are testing continuity, have some helping hands move the wiring harness around to see if it impacts the test. If it does, you know that you have a wiring issue.
