hello to all. I think I may have bought into the so called blazer lemon factory. bought my 2000 blazer lt 4x4 last summer and was told the trans. was redone in oct.09. noticed when I was parked on an inclining driveway that it was leaking trans fluid from under center of vehicle. winter came and noticed the 4x4 would lock engaged when driven for a couple of blocks, service light comes on and won't switch out of 4x4. kept it in 2x4 most of winter and now it selects 4x4 and service light on ignition and will not disengage no matter what I do. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Tigjockey,
I got a 2002 LT with 200.000 km on it.
I got the same problem. I was driving home today when the servicelight came on. I normaly drive auto4x4 and it shifted to 4low when waiting at a stoplight.
Let's hope someone can help us out.

Get the TCCM scanned and post the codes that result. If the service 4wd light is on, the TCCM has stored codes and is trying to tell you what the problem is.
