Default transmission?? question

97 blazer automatic Overdrive Transmission. I was driving the other day and noticed the rpms starting to go up. The fastest I was able to go on flat terrain was about 40 MPH and that was at 3000 rpm. 1st and 2nd gears work the same as always but as it shifts into the higher gears, thats when the trouble starts. I tried shifting between overdrive and "3". I feel it shifting but it drives the same. I don't feel any jerking or slipping and didn't hear any noises or anything. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Eric Miller

Default RE: transmission?? question

Thought I replied to this once. MaybeI lost my connection. hmmm..

Anyways, 3 post in three years. Impressive..........

Hate to say it, howver your are more then likely looking at a rebuild. Find a tranny shop you trust and get them to run some tests on it. If you want tips, pointers, on ways to save money or do this yourself, post up.
