Default Transmission slipping and leaking!!

Up until recently my transmission has been fine, just over 100k on it (99 blazer). Now I'll be driving and once at a cruise speed you can feel it jump and the rpm's go up and down. Once driving for a decent amount of time, it starts to leak out of the vent pipe that is next to the transmission dip stick...kind of embarassing with all of the smoke, from it leaking down on the manifold.

Any idea's?

Thanks,
Ryan

Sounds like your torque converter is unlocking or slipping for some reason. This will cause the transmission temp to shoot up and can cause it to puke fluid out the vent line.

A plugged cooler line will also cause fluid to be pushed out the vent tube.

Hmm...That could be a possibility...I did put a new engine in it...so maybe something got screwed up when putting it back in.

The problem is sometimes caused by a part in the transmission pump called torque converter clutch solenoid snout.
