transmission trouble
Hey, new to this forum. I have a 1996 GMC Jimmy that I just traded a three wheeler to, so I dont have much in it yet. The body and interior are in great shape, but the transmission acts funny. If I put it in OD it works fine every time, reverse works fine. If I pull it down into first, second or drive, it slips badly and barely moves. The fluid looks fine and the level is good. I am planning to change the filter and fluid tomorrow just to be sure. Is there anything I should look for while I have the pan off? As I have only less than $100 invested in this vehicle is it worth fixing or is it shot? Thank you.
