Hi guys. Having problems with my 97 jimmy 4x4 tranny. Have po740, 785 & p1860 codes. Also, I can't get the key out of the cylinder. So this morning, I tested the #24 trans. fuse and I get 5.6 volts. I get full battery voltage on other fuses but less than half on this one. Does this mean my ignition switch is shot? To get the key out, I made a jumper wire from the battery + and momentarily touched the other end to the #24 fuse and the key was easily removed. Anything else I should test before buying a new switch and do I need the switch from the dealer or any aftermarket will do? Thanks for the help.

Here is a quick update. Had to use the truck. I can manually shift in 2 and 3, It will not start in first and won't shift in 4th. I jumped the trans fuse from another fuse that had full B+ voltage in the fuse box and everything seems to be working fine. Should I still check the wiring at the tranny?

Please someone. I just want to know what to check before throwing $$ in this thing. If I had 0 volts at the fuse, I would buy a switch but, since I have 5.6 volts, I am stumped.
