How many buttons? Does it have auto 4WD?

Yes, It has auto 4wd button next to the others

And if a 4-button/NP426 then it takes a special fluid, not the normal transfer case lube.

I could be wrong, but I thought the 246 was only used in full-size vehicles, and the 236 was the version of the Auto-Trac used in the S10.
