Where to pour Seafoam? Is it safe?
I'm looking to Seafoam the valves in my V6 2000 4x4 4-door Blazer; I've added a pint to the gas tank, but I want to really clean things out. So, where do I add the stuff to get that nice, giant-squid ink cloud effect out of my exhaust? Also, any chance of ruining my engine with this? My baby's got about 105,000 miles on her, and I drive her every day (mostly city). Anyone out there with Seafoam experience?
*EDIT*-- I did a quick search, but it said "no records" or that my search wasn't specific enough...

Yea, the search feature is a lil out of whack lately with the server change. YOu can pour into brake booster hose right behind the master cylinder, in PCV valve. Wont hurt her a bit, but you might want to change plugs about 500 miles later or sooner . it will cause them to foul.

If you unplug the MAF sensor (directly after the air box), you will be able to pour it directly down the throttlebody with the engine running. Get the truck up to operating temperature. Then, just dribble it down the throttle body for the first 2/3 to 3/4 of a bottle, keeping the engine running by working the throttle. With the last 1/4 to 1/3 of a bottle, dump it in rather quickly, letting the engine die. Let it sit for 30 minutes to an hour, then start it up and drive it like ya stole it until the exhaust clears.
I would recommend that you change the plugs once the engine cools down a bit.
