well my car is a 1998 blazer 4.3l. The car car turns over but never starts, There is spark at the coil and there is fuel at the rails although it is low pressure. i had a simaler problem last month but it was the spark plugs that were bad. once i changed those it ran fine untill now. i am completely stumped and hope someone can head me in the right direction.

If you even think there is a fuel supply issue, you need to actually test the fuel pressure. You need atleast 55PSI for the engine to start and run properly.

If the fuel pressure is low its not going to start

well yesterday morning it started i still think i have a fuel pressure problem though but i have another issue now. I took the distributer cap off to see if water was somehow getting in there since i seemed to only have problems after a heavy rain or snow. I broke one of the mounts on the cap taking it off so i bought a new and put it in and connected all the plugs in the same order. The car starts but definetly sounds like 1 or more of the cylenders arent firing and i have a check engine light. anyone have any insight as to what i messed up?

If the engine light didn't come on until after you worked on it, then it could be that one of the wires was not pushed back on all the way. Double check the wire connections.

I would disconnect one wire at a time and see if the sound or performance changes. The one that does not cause a change is the one that is misfiring. We can go from that point.

i got it newbie mistake lol 2 of the plugs were mixed up. it runs fine now, check engine light is still on though. When i did all the spark plugs the engine light stayed on for a day and went away on its own, so im hoping its the same situation.

After the PCM senses the required #'s of 'drive cycles' it should clear it.
