I just replaced the front switch in the axle and I still am not getting the 4WD light on the floor console, and don't think its going into 4wd...what triggers that,92 full size...al

 

there is a switch and an actuator- which did you switch? I have replaced both. I have had an actuator go bad, but then the switch went bad, I did not know it, it was shorting out from rain water, causing the new actuators to short out! it took 3 different mechanics and a lot of $$ to figure out this simple parts replacement.....
