Default 78 blazer won't start, no click or anything.

When I turn the key the fuel pump will turn on and all the electric stuff works, but it won't click or turn over at all. I'm not really sure what I did in the last four hours working on it because it started fine earlier now nothing. The only thing I can think of is some sort of clutch start wire got messed up when I sprayed PB blasted on the clutch pedal hinges to get it to stop squeaking. I am really worried because this vehicle isn't mine I'm just working on it.

try bypassing the clutch safety switch. there should be a switch up there with two wires going into it just unplug it and jump the connector.
