83 GMC JIMMY electric motor
About a week ago, my driver side electric motor went out, or at least I think this is the problem. The problem initialy occurred about six weeks prior, but a few days later the window started working again and hasn't been a problem, until now.
This past weekend I pulled off the door panel and didn't see anything obvious. I tested the switch and verified I had power to both sides of the switch. I then removed the wires connecting to the switch that control the windows and transposed them. I didn't get either window to operate.
Put the wires back to their original places. I'm now going to buy a switch and HOPE like hell it the switch. If not, I'll have to replace the electric motor.
I would like to know if anyone here has any knowledge or pics they could post. My window is about 90% rolled down. According to what I've read, this process needs to begin with the window rolled up. Any advise is appreciated.
