84 k5 stalling issues

84 k5 stalling issues
Hi there
I have an 84 k5 automatic.For some reason when I go into reverse the truck turns off. When I go back into park and try to restart the truck it doesn't start. It's almost as if the battery is dead yet I still have power to my stereo ,lights, ac and so forth. At this point if I put it into drive a pull forward slightly then go back into park the truck will start and drive .... Any of you chevy gurus have any advice or tips?
