It involves two changes. One that is not so bad, the end of the bed floor needs to be changed over to house the latches for the doors. The second is a LOT of work. The hinge pockets have to be grafted onto the body.

My 1990 donor suburban has these parts on it. Depending on your location, it may be a possibility to swap some parts around.

i live in sacramento, calif. i am interested in buying all the hardware. i been waiting to go to pic a part and get it. i have the doors and the latches that are on the doors, not the mounts for the bady. i have the door handle but, no key for the lock. i looked at lmc and assumed that i had to weld female inserts for the latches to connect too.
let me know man

I do not think that the sides would be all that bad to ship. I would just have to find a box that they would fit into. I could cut them down so that they were not all that large or heavy, but still show how everything mounts in.

You will have to get the lower tail pan for this swap. LMC has it:
38-7989 TAIL PAN-COMPLETE SUPPORT ASSY $189.95

Kind of expensive though. That piece was rotted away to nothing on my donor 'burb. I also have the wiring for rear defog along with the corresponding contact plates. The doors on the back of my 'burb were full power locks w/ defog.

I have no idea what I want for the side pieces from the 'burb. It would take some time to get things apart and I do not know when I would be able to get them.

I have to look into whether the tailgate is the same or not, but I would be interested in it if that would be possible.
