Dash board light

Default Dash board light

Hi my name is Kevin I got a 1988 gmc jimmy sierra classic and I having trouble I can't seem to get my dash light to come on I check the fuse it look good the light switch seems to be ok to what could it be can anyone help

still can be your light switch. try twisting the **** back and forth a few times and wiggling it to see if it will come on. if your head lights and tail lights work with the switch, see which power wire coming out of the switch is for the dash illumination and check it for a 12 volt source. if nothing is coming out then theres your problem.

if you do have 12v coming out then iit can possibly be a ground out of the dash cluster. i remember when i built my 86 that was the problem i just ran my own ground and everything works now

Could be an issue with the printed circuit or perhaps all the bulbs could be burnt out.
