why does my 88 K5 handle so bad it seams to grab every dip and bump in the road is this normal I don't remember the ones in the marine corps handleing like this ?

What do you mean by "grab every dip and bump"? Does it wander around? If so, how are the ball joints? Tie-rod ends? Is the frame intact behind the steering gear box (no cracks etc?)?
