*MOVED to K5 tech*
With a 5.7 in a 94 GMC I'm assuming you mean full size.
84-I don't believe he's speaking of the a/c system, rather the cooling/coolant/antifreeze system.
I'm not sure if the process is the same for full size trucks, so I just wanted to move this to the right section and clarify.

Yeah, I was kind of half paying attention at the time.

leave your radiator cap off and let it run, the cap on those should be the highest point in the system so the air should be able to escape.

While doing this you will need to have a large funnel to hold on the top of the rad as it heats up the coolant will overflow into the funnel, if you don't have 1 it will just spill out everywhere. also you can squeeze the upper hose a few times while engine is running, you might have to run it like this and let it cool and run it more than once to get all the air out too.

^^^ yup.
i've also had to pull the upper rad hose off of the thermostat housing, and use a slim screw driver to press open the thermostat until coolant filled the housing. then reinstalled the upper rad hose, and let it warm up.
worked every time in all of my FS trucks.
