How do I know if my hubs are locked or unlocked

depends, do u have manual or auto? auto are always locked u just put ur trans case into 4wd to be in 4wd and manuals will have the word lock and unlock on them to tell u with an arrow pointing to where its at.

it should say lock and unlock on the dials themselves. if you are wondering if they are working or sticking, if you lay under the truck and grab the u joint in the axle you should be able to spin them by hand if its in the unlock position and maybe be able to move them a hair with them in the lock position
