need some help my driverside door keeps coming unlocked

Default need some help my driverside door keeps coming unlocked

i have a aftermarket alarm but when i set my alarm everything seems locked then after hours i go to unlock my blazer the door is unlocked on the driverside. i have a 98 blazer

No need to repost the question in another forum (which is against forum rules BTW).

It sounds like you need to spend some QT with your truck and determine how/when the door is becoming unlocked and then determine the cause. Phantom unlocking is not a common problem and since you have aftermarket equipment, the only solution is to actually sit down with your truck and observe. Maybe it is a weak door lock actuator not fully seating the lock (doubtful). More likely, the aftermarket alarm is unlocking the door for some reason.


Will the door stay locked if you disconnect the alarm?

ive been messing with it all day and ive sat in it for hours with the alarm on lock and nothing but once i get out and lock it again it and go back outside to get back in it the door is unlocked

Avital 5303L that is the unit im using, but ill give you guys some more things ive noticed the unlock and lock switch panel is not working but the window switch works im not sure if maybe something is just loose in the wiring.

so when the door appears to come back unlocked is it after you manually lock it or do you lock it with the keypad buttons

when car is locked does it show up on your keypad that its locked

I have no strong recommendation on that, but sure there are lot of members who have huge information about lock system.
Moreover, you need to check its manual as well as wiring system.
