You won't know unless you verify with a mechanical gauge.

Question

i have a 93 chevy 5.7 4x4 i got a mechanical gauge and when u run it hard it looses all the oil pressure i was told it could be the oil pump or screen or the main and rod bearings and my check engine light comes on and it has code 32 egr circuit fault. it is geting juice to it could it be the egr valve? and i have a code 42 electronic spark timing (EST) circuit grounded. and most chevys have a big box beside the throtle body and bolts to the same braket as the egr vacum switch i belive but my chevy dont so can anyone help me out here

i took it the valve covers off it wasnt that dirty so i took the oil pan off and it took me about 4 hrs. the oil pump screen was clean, so what else could it be? and the main bearings looked good but the rod bearings were copper looking and it looked like it was turning inside the rod cap. i had to order the rod bearings im going ahead and puting a new oil pump in it and a screen. i will let you all know if it fixed it or not.

WELL LETS SEE I GOT IT ALL BACK TOGETHER PUT NEW ROD BEARINGS IN IT AND PUT A NEW OIL PUMP AND SCREEN AND I GUESS I WILL SEE WHAT HAPPENS SO FAR IT HOLDS GOOD OIL PRESSURE BUT THEIR IS A SQUEAK IN IT THAT I CANT FIND ANY IDEAS? IT COMES AND GOES BUT IT DOES NOT GET LOUDER THE MORE GAS U GIVE IT I GUESS I WILL DRIVE IT AND SEE HOW IT LAST I WILL LET U ALL KNOW IF U ALL DONT HAVE ANY IDEAS.
