well i kinda had the same problem, i just bought my 91 k5 and i took it for a drive the other day, granted i had a little bit in the tank, it was reading empty to 1/4 on the gauge, then all of the sudden the check engine light went on, and as i stopped in a light it freaken died, it would start up again and all of the sudden when i stopped again it died, i was lucky a gas station was few feet away, i really though it was that i was running out of gas. after i filled up, the light went off and it didnt die, i am suspecting the same issue, any advise???
