Question Rear window won't go up

Hello, new member here and I have a question.

I have a 1989 K5 blazer and the rear power window will go down but not up.

I have lubed the mechanical mechanism to allow the motor to pull the window down, but the motor doesn't even try to spin to put it back up.

I have checked it with a multi-meter and the "UP" wire gets no voltage at the plug for the motor, but the "Down" wire gets around 10-12 volts.

These voltages were taken where the wire plugs into the rear window motor and I don't know how to trace that wire back to where the problem could be.

Any help would be great, thanks!
The window does the same thing with the key and with the switch up front. The fuses are fine.

Have you checked the back of the switch. Does the switch give 12 volts when depressed for raising the window?

Welcome. BTW.

Word-the wiring from the switch to the motor has no reason to go bad unless there's been some kind of mod that would affect it.

Does the window work from the tailgate? You should be able to put it up and down from the key cylinder in the tailgate.

Nope, It does the same thing.
Down, but not up. Not even trying.
No mods to the wiring either.

So how are you getting the window up right now? Or are you?

I am putting it up by removing the tailgate cover and disconnecting the cable drive from the motor and using vice grips to turn the cable.

It works, but it sure is slow..
