Sbc 305
I have an Engine Question on a K5 I'm getting. I see some people don't like the 305 and prefer the 350 I know there are more upgrade options for the 350.But I've seen 305' get dyno'd at 500hp and over 450lb of torque after mods, Is this not good hp/torque combo for an SBC. So if you had a 305 with these specs would you still swap it out? New to the Community so thanks in advance.
If it makes you grin, keep it in.
The 305 vs 350 is a difference of bore diameter with the 305 having a 3.736" bore and a 4.000" bore on the 350. Different pistons, crank, and block between the two.
With enough money and determination any engine can be made to be fun. It just takes more when you are talking about unpopular configurations such as the 305.
