Default $1000 to spend. Suggestions?

I recently bought a 4-door '97 Blazer 4x4 with the 4.3L. After fixing all the problems it initially had, I now have about a grand I would like to drop into it to make it stand out. Any suggestions? Open to anything.

Lift it, different rims, crazy paint job, sound system upgrade, the possibilities are endless.

they are working with 1000, not 10,000.. Possibilities are not endless with a grand.
But I get what you are saying

I'd like maybe a 2" lift on it. Nothing special. The thing is I just dropped $700 on a brand new set of GY Silent Armors that are the stock 235/75/15 size. Would a 2" lift make the tires look too small or would it look alright?

After I had put on my 2.5" lift my stock tire size looked small until I got 31's. They were old and bald though, maybe some new fresh tires will look alright

Maybe I'll just keep it at stock height for the time being until these tires wear down and then do it. I eventually would like to do a v8 conversion with a 5.7 vortec also, and from what I understand it's harder to do it with a lift? Ah decisions decisions...

Not certain where you heard it's any harder to do a 5.7 swap with a lift? A IFS suspension lift won't make any difference in fitting the motor, a SAS actually makes it easier, and a body lift actually gives you more space to fit the motor.

Oh ok. I don't even remember where I heard that from...it didn't make much sense to me either. But on second thought I think I'll hold off on both the lift and definitely the v8 swap. I'd also like to get a nice sound system. Nothing big, just something better than the stock speakers. And maybe put some Chevy rally wheels on it
