RE: 08 blazer
Yeah a new blazer would be awesome. A ZR2 mod would be cool too. I would like to see one that is easily modded, with lots of aftermarket parts, easy to customize, easy to work on, ect. Just a simple truck that works and looks good. but a diesel v8 option would be sweet...lol

Well, you can pay a bit more up front, and have a vehicle proven (camel trophy, TreK challenge, G4) offroad, or you can buy a non offroad vehicle, make it off road, then continually track down problems related to you modifications.
But it's all preference. As for the question a few posts back, is there anyone else that still makes solid axle V8s with offroad intentions?

I think the new XJ's are still solid axle up front...
GM is never likely to see a solid axle up front again... The smooth ride is GM's biggest selling point.
I'm pretty sure the only reason that GM doesn't have IRS in its trucks is because it can't haul 10k lbs

I don't know what to think of that k-5 concept. I like the front half of it, but the back end reminds me of one of those Honda's. Maybe it would look better with the top on it. I think with a nice lift and some 35's or larger it would look sick! I own an 81 K-5 so I can relate to what you guys are saying about some of these newer models. I have to say though, having the choice of buying an affordable vehicle that has 4x4, but rides like a car is nice to have....I know people out in Big Bear California that live there just need something to get them to work and around town, but need that 4x4 capability to get through snow. I do however believe they should be making TRUE off road vehicles as another option.
