Default 10 bolt rear

i have recently got myself into an 84 s-10 blazer. i am planing on useing it for off road. i am running 31 bfg at's and would like to weld the rear diff. i was wondering if anyone knows how much abuse the 10 bolt will take with this set up. does anyone have some info on this matter? thanks

ive been running a 10 bolt rear (though its the bigger 8.5) welded for a few years now. not a problem yet and im running 33inch boggers. with 31s it should be fine. even the little suzuki axles and jeep axles could handle those.

heres a little cell phone vid of the axle in action
