Default 1999 2 door blazer with bad engine

A friend of mine has a white 1999 2 door blazer 4x4 ( not a zr2 model)
with a blown 4.3 ..... the body & interior looks immaculate,,,
Have no idea of the extent of the engine damage,,,i'm going to assume I 'd need to buy another engine
I realize this a silly question of sorts,,but what do you think this would be worth to buy as is...the mileage is unknown to me at this time,,,,but i'd really like to get my hands on it,,,,,just wondering what it could be worth.

i would buy as is for about $500 no more, considiring the amount of work it is pulling the old engine, locating a new engine, pulling that one and putting the new one in. sounds like a build thread to me *Hint Hint*!

yeah, $500 MAX!

the mileage would play a role in the price as well, since a higher mileage truck means the trans may need doing as well. and i'd never drop in a used trans after the BS we went through with my brother's old Winter beater a few years ago. 4 bad trans-in a row-from the same wrecker's. (ended up getting his money back, and we had it rebuilt)

hopefully it would be a fully loaded truck for $500, right?
