Default 2000 blazer. After heater core was replaced

After heater core was replaced ignition was in a stuck or locked position but can be forced passed to start. You have to turn key back slightly or starter will stay engaged. Also with this issue intermittently windows, dash lights and apparently shifter is not working. Sounds like I have a stick shift and dont know how to drive it. Just tearing up gears. Shut it off restart it dash lights work then everything else works too? It also appears the shifter sits lower on the column. Is that possible? Any clues to where I need to start looking for the issue after dash is dropped again? Thank you in advance.

sounds like you both - Didnt plug a few things in or didnt seat the connectors firm, damaged some wires, AND didnt bolt everything back in right.

A large amount of the truck's electronics runs thru the ignition switch (and by switch I mean the unit with all the wires going thru it in the column) if that goes bad or is damaged you can get all kinds problems that don't seem to be connected throughout the truck.
