Default 2000 chevy blazer 4x4 / front passenger side cv axle problems

I have a 2000 chevyblazer4x4. awd . I had an earlier post about the front right wheel noise. I replaced everything and last thing to replace is cv axle. got old one out. having hard time getting it in. the snap ring is the problem. this is our family's only vehicle. it will take a week to get another one. does anyone have any ideas or tricks. I really need help .
