I have a 2002 trailblazer. When I got it it had issues from the beginning. It's now an obvious bad purchase. Within a couple month's the engine siezed and I had what I thought was experienced friends replace the engine. Its been nothing but an electrical nightmare. I have had lots replaced. Now my 4wd engages on it's own. I ordered a new 2004 tccm. Can anyone help with installing it? Or am I barking up the wrong tree, so to speak. Help please..

 

So sorry to hear of your troubles!

On my 1999, the TCCM (transfer case control module) was an easy repair. So if your's is similar to the 99s, then at least this should not be very hard.

The TCCM is located behind the passenger side kick-panel. I forget the details but pretty sure there is at least one screw or bolt to take out to get the panel off. Note that there plastic bits that also hold it in place so don't force it. Once you get it started, you can look to see how to get it off.

As for the TCCM itself, there is a bracket that holds it in place with I think just a 10mm bolt. The electrical connector is pretty straight forward too.
