2003 Blazer 4x4: Adding rear windshield wiper and defrost
Hello,
My 2003 Blazer is a bare bones model. Manual everything, didn't even come with cruise control. The rear windshield is not tinted and does not have defrost.
I have added cruise control from a donor truck and now have the opportunity to buy a matching tailgate with windshield wiper and rear windshield that is tinted and has defrost. I was able to get rear control switch for the defroster and windshield wiper from the truck I got the cruise control from. I figured since the wiring harness in the dash has a plug for the controls, that the wiring would be in the back of the truck for the wiper and defrost as well. Haven't been able to find it yet, and I am starting to think that it is not there.
My question is, has anyone added these features to a truck that didn't come with them stock, if so, how did you do it?
If no one has, does anyone have suggestions? I am fairly DIY capable have stripped another blazer before, so I am comfortable running the necessary wiring, but I am unsure where to make the connections at the "head end" of things and don't know if I would need to do anything else!
Thanks in advance!
