Wow, this thread still lives! I got 4wd. I've had rwd before and yes, its manageable, but not fun. Especially at snowy intersections. I can click the magic button and be on my way, while watching 2wd trucks spinning and not going anywhere, holding up traffic. I can almost see the look of envy from them as they watch me drive away like its a sunny florida day!

Had to buy a house where it doesnt snow and creek dont rise. I paid much more to live in a neighborhood that has good roads and no salt. All that soos I dont have to buy a 4x4 and post to blogs on how to get better milage.

Just bought a 02 blazer LS 2wd, that the previous owner really took care of altho first rattle out of the box, I had to change the left front wheel hub but other than that, its cherry, all leather interior, gas mileage sucks tho. As for it being a 2wd, well shucks, we don't get enough rain in Texas to make a mud puddle big enough to get a "Tonka" truck stuck in so I guess 2wd will do

I own 1994 2wd s10 a little rough and I own a 99 blazer ls 4wd..I like both

I have a 4x4 and I plan on using it quite often here in Montana. Lots of back roads to explore lol.
