3.4?
According to Wikipedia, two versions of the 3.4L engine were used in the following vehicles:
L32
The power rating of the 3.4 L L32 ("S-code") used in the Camaro and Firebird was 160 hp (119 kW) at 4,600 rpm and 200 lb·ft (271 N·m) torque at 3600 rpm. However, unlike the LA1 "3400" engine, the F-body cars used the Generation I architecture, with iron heads, and without splayed valves. It was longitudinally mounted.
Applications:
The LA1 3400 ("E-code") was a bored-out version of the 3100. It retained the OHV layout of the previous engine, and was first utilized on the 1996 U platform minivans. Output for the 3400 is 180 hp (134 kW) and 205 lb·ft (278 N·m).

Wow. Never knew they used them in the S10s. Ive just always heard of the 2.2 and the 4.3. Now, I did know that they used them in the mini van series, the firebirds, camaros, and such vehicles. What do you think of those motors? Ive never had one and I only know of one guy that has one.
I have one in my Impala, I like it a lot, lots of power and 26-30 mpg. The only issue I have with it is it has the "3.1 tic" so I let it idle for a few minutes before driving. I bought the car with 178K and now its up over 184K and going strong. If your looking for a good motor in a car Id recommend this one...
I have the 3.4L in my 94 Firebird. Its not a bad little engine. Nice MPG and has some nice pick up and go when needed.
I ended up doing pacesetter headers and a Magnaflow cat and cat back system (single in dual out) last year. Adds power and people think its a V8 when sitting idle however when peddle to the metal it sounds like a ricer.
But over all its not a bad engine at all.
