Default 3k to spend?

Well Im thinking about getting a new car in 2009. But the problem is I would be bored with my Blazer by then, so Im thinking get a bike for about 3k-4k to tie me over or spend it on my Blazer to make it less of a boring viechle.

What would you do if you have 3k to spend on your Blazer? Keep in mind this is 4x4 so Im not lowering it(although some really nices 20s is an option). Im thinking either really nice 20s or a 4-6 inch lift and some bigger tires.

i wouldn't put 20's on it, i just think 4x4s dont need 20's i would lift it and put it on 35's and a brush gaurd or at least some off road lights

Is there a lot of off-roading areas in South Dakota? I'd make a 4x4 off road ride. Brush guard, sturdy winch, lift with bigger tires, auxillary lights on the brush guard or on a roof rack, optima battery, apropane grill, and some camping gear.

It doesnt sound like your really into offroading, but if it were me and being that I already have a bike. I would lift it enough to stick some 33in baja claws...prolly 3in body lift add a leaf and crank the t-bars 2in and some trimming...then brush guard and a nice winch. If you dont have the factory LSD and were serious about offroading I would add a type of locker on the rear. The factory LSD isnt that bad, a lot better then an open diff.

But if I didnt have a bike...I would use the cash to buy a bike over fixing up the truck in a heart beat.

Just my two cents

Believe I'd go with option #3, bank the money for the nex car. What, there was no option #3? Oh, well, that's the one I'd choose, anyway.

thats really the smartest way to go but sometimes that $ just burns a hole in your pocket and you have to spend it now

Option #3 is scrap the brand new car idea and go with a 4th gen instead of a 5th gen(F-body). Option #4 is really the most sensable idea, scrap all the ideas and save for a 20% DP on a house.
