Default 3M clear bra

Anyone have any experience with this product(on any viechle)? My hood is getting repaired and painted so Im thinking about getting the Clear Bra put on to protect the paint from rock chips. I thought I heard that it can prevent damage from a fist sized rock at 120 mph.

they are not dent restistant, but as far as paint goes, they do a hell of a job keepin the rock chips off.

We used to use that on the rockers of my dad's farm truck, that is until they rusted from the other side out! LOL. Did well to keep off the road rash right behind the tires. Dad never could keep a set of mud flaps on the truck. Kept on tearing them off when he'd get himself 'almost' stuck in the mud! Fun times!!

I'm thinkin' about using some on my new Rainier on the side skirts in front of the rear wheels. Get that sanded down and re-cleared and slap on some of that to keep off the road rash.

And yeah, like the others have said, the stuff won't keep out dents, but it definitely protects the paint from chips.
