Default 4.3 HO??

i looked upmy RPO codes the other day and i translated the L35 code which gave me my engine information and this is wat it said L35 ENGINE , "GAS, 6 CYL, 4.3L, CPI, V6, 90 DEG, HO"...now i thought all the 4.3s were the same but apparently not so i was just wondering if any knew the Hp and tourqe specs of the HO motor....thanks

What source did you use for the RPO decoding? Different sources will show different wording to the translation. I have the L35 engine (like all the 4.3's) in a 2002 and I have not seen the HO designation in any decoding. I have never heard of any variation in engine specs beyond the standard ones over the various model years.

I just went to ~10 different RPO listings and that one and one other were the only ones that showed the 'HO' wording. On the GM factory service manual DVD version I have it's listed as:

L35 Engine, Gas, 6 Cylinder, 4.3L, V6

I believe all 4.3 vortecs are the 'high output' motors....hence the v6 with v8-like torque.

For '02, I think it's 190hp@4,400rpm and 250 ft lb@2,800rpm.
