Default Is a 95 a good parts truck for a 98?

I'm trying to search, but hoping for a quick answer so I don't miss out on a deal. I have a 98 4x4 Blazer, and just came across a clean 95 with a bad engine. My 98 needs some parts, like a passenger mirror, rear bumper, instrument cluster.
I'm just wondering, will the 95 make a good overall parts truck. Anything in particular that will NOT interchange easily?
Thanks!

Overall I'd say that a 95 would not be a good parts truck. There are lots of parts that won't match up. Most of the interior is not the same style. Much of the front driveline is not the same (CV's, diff, brakes, hubs, etc), many of the body parts are not the same either.

Your best bet is a '98 and up for a parts truck.

Rear bumper is different but can be made to work, cluster is different, entire interior is different, side view mirrors will work.

There isn't much that will swap over, so no, it's not very good parts truck.

Depending on the price and needed parts, but you would probably be better off searching one that's a bit more the 'correct' year range for you.
