Default 96 to 98 jimmy front end conversion

I have a 1996 gmc jimmy and I'm looking to swap the front end (headlights and grill) to the 98+. I was just wondering if I need the core support from a 98 plus to make this work. Also I have the composite style headlights as I have heard this makes the swap easier. If anyone has done this or if anyone has some insight that would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, you'll need the core support also. You may have to do some wiring for the headlights also (I think).

Yes to the core support...and no wiring work required....just plug your bulbs into the new lights. Be sure to change over your air bag sensors while apart..wiring will be different for them and not easy to get to once together........1 year later still have air bag light on..lol
