Default Advice On 1999 Trail Blazer

Hi all. I have a chance to pick up a 1999 Trail Blazer with 70,000 miles. Seller just moved to PA from NC and the truck looks brand new. I trust the seller completely and it is clear that the vehicle has been well taken care of over the years. I just read a good many reviews that talk about front end problems, heater cores, door hinges, etc. Seems to me that many of the "problems" people report are caused by lack of care. Since this is a Blazer forum what opinions do you all have? Asking price is $3,000.00 and I think it could be a good deal.

Thanks

I bought a 2000 Chevy Blazer 2dr back in 2008 with 96000 miles on it and drove it every day till it got totaled a couple of months ago. Then I bought a 2001 GMC Jimmy 4Dr with 65000 miles on it a few days ago. The Blazer I got was a salvage titled vehicle and I got it for $4000. The Jimmy I got has a clean title and got that for $4300. This was is in the Los Angeles area.

My only advice is check the coolant. When I bought my Blazer/Jimmy the coolant was in real bad shape and had to have it flushed. It ended up clogging the heater core on the blazer.
