Man, I guess one of these days I'll have to do a 'how-to' on the interior leds.

After seeing Thogs underhood LED I got to thinking about an LED strip around the underside of the hood. That way you'll lessen shadows at night.
5M Waterproof 3528 SMD flexible cold White 300 LED Strip Light 12v car lamp | eBay
Just wire it into the stock hood light & when the hood is lifted it comes on. Place it in any configuration you like. Lots of different colors & lengths on ebay too.
Or if you totally bizarre

These look good www.ebay.ca/itm/LED-WHITE-2X-12-EXTERIOR-STRIP-SUPER-BRIGHT-LIGHT-BIG-15-SMD-DRL-BULB-LED-i-W6-/170817522226?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories &hash=item27c5848a32
Get 2 sets for lights around all 4 sides under the hood.

I maintain that I'm not building a Knight Rider strip for mine ... It's a Cylon.

Because Cylons are totally not dorky.
