I need to do a bit of work on my 1999 4.2 Chevy blazer LT. I’m based in Malaga in Spain and finding it hard to get parts. Can anyone suggest alternative parts , I need brake pads and discs, transmission filter and oil, catalytic converter a lifting kit & alternative set of wheel rims mine are all chewed up.

What do you mean with "alternative?" Non-GM, or non-AC-Delco?

I good place to start for shopping and comparing parts would be Rock Auto (rockauto.com). Although I do not know if the shipping from the US would be prohibitively expensive.

Hi
i suppose I mean bits from other cars. On the internet there a video with a guy putting a set of Hyundai Galloper wheels straight on to his 98 blazer and just made me think has anyone used other car parts on their blazers.
I have spoken to a company in the states but everything will take so long to get here and delivery is expensive and then there may be import tax.
im kinda new to the restoration process and know I should have sourced a parts dealer before I bought the car but ....you live and learn

I would say Rock Auto may be your best bet. I recently ordered suspension parts and an exhaust for my Blazer. Even with postage they were much cheaper than ordering from a UK supplier and the parts turned up 5 days later which I thought was very impressive. The other advantage with Rock Auto is that they calculate the import duties when you order so there is no extra payment when they are delivered.
So far as wheels I believe that one generation of Land Rover Discovery (sorry, not sure which) has the same stud pattern so that you can go to 16" wheels.

Ah yes. I see your problem. I'm afraid I have no direct experience to help you but you are not alone being a Blazer owner in Europe. Perhaps one of those members could help out. I would suggest starting another post with a title that makes reference to sourcing Blazer parts in Europe. That will definitely get the attention of those who could help.

But one thing I can suggest is that Rock Auto will list what other cars use the same parts. Perhaps that might help? You can find this information by clicking on the part number.
