I personally don't have a problem driving an EV, that being said there are lots of uses for them. However, they are useless on a long trip. Imagine going 300 miles in one. It would take days and days to make any type of a long distance trip. Unless you could just pull in and pay a small fee and trade for a set of charged batteries. I have used electric forklifts before and when the battery dies you just roll over to the rack and get new ones and off you go.
I can't see how this would work in real life. I can see traffic jams at the EV stations and Green Weenies getting into fights because they aren't moving fast enough.
I'll stick to my Blazer for now till something better comes along!
