So i have a 91(1st gens are my main viewpoint here). its got a release button beside the radio that pops the tailgate. Mine,and my friends 3 others dont work. I dont care about fixing it,since i never use it.

Just seeing if anyone else is in the same boat?

 

Mine works on my 03. It doesn't seem to give you much time before it locks again though.

 

the button on my tailgate went out before, if you can hear it spinning, its just a little piece of plastic most likely.

 

mine always worked on my 2000 blazer.

 

Im not sure if its the same design,but on 1st gens they never seem to work.

 

when you push the button can you hear the gears spinning in the tailgate?

 

2000 BlaZeR and it works for me.

 

my 93's pops but the glass does not rise or anything it just unlocks it for a second or so i guess pretty much the most pointless button on the vehicle in my opinion

 

The button on my 2000 works fine and the one on both my 89 and 94 worked flawlessly too.
