Best things to take out of salvage yards?
Hey everyone, seeing as my blazer funds have run very low, I have been looking at other ways to make some spare cash. I thaught about going to the local "U-Pull it", to get things for resale. I know that there is profits to be made on specific things and was wondering what parts in specific you think are worth going for.
Currently I look for:
zr2 flares(amazing profit if you manage to find some)
stereo amps
speakers/subs in good condition
Wondering if anyone has any suggestions or would like to share their storys about U-Pull it outtings.

2nd gen s-series defroster grilles that aint broke
If you come across any s-series with bushwackers, esp first gens. Bushwacker has dropped production at the begining of the year.
First gen glovebox doors that aint broken
First gen center console doors that aint broken
Any s-series without factory ac heater box and control panels, v8 swap guys grab them up
Zq8 parts, 3rd shock mounts, sway bars, and ect
Zr2 torsion bars, the heaviest ones made for s-series and guys that keep the ifs want them
Zr2 blazer rear leaf packs, blazer take different springs and they have more arch, the truck ones aren't any different so leave them
1st gen tilt columns, 5 speed esp
Jeep cherokee XJ (boxy body) steering shafts, upgrade for all kinds of gm cars with rag joints
Plastic tail light fillers for 80s model caddies not broken up
Steering box out of any gm car with quick ratio steering
Zr2 cast iron front diff, really rare and upgrade for any s-series 4x4
All I can think off right now

X2 on the skid plates..
If you really wanna go for it, i would pull some 350's or 454's out of what ever you can find them in and either part them out or sell them whole for a profit. I would get those on a day when the yard has a sale. on black friday my local yard had a 50% off everything sale and long blocks were something like 80$ which is a steal. im kicking myself for not doing that. for presidents day they have a 33% off everything sale so hmm
I know you can get a good profit off those so it wouldn't be a bad idea

u think skid plates will turn a good profit?
#7
if you can find the metal ones yes
#8
so avoid the composite?

Yes.
the skid plates off 2nd gen bring in more. I had a set from a 1st gen, couldnt get more then $50 for em. Ive seen 2nd gen skids go for 100+. But you must have all 3 as a set.
Also. They sell mufflers for like 10 bucks. Look for flowmasters on trucks etc. then sell em for 25-30 each in your newpaper etc. Look for add ons like throttle body spacers, headers, chips, performance coils, performance intakes etc.
