Default Brand New Spare Stolen from 1998 LS

Checking the differential fluid Sunday Afternoon and discovered my spare had been stolen. Cable was clipped. I think it happened in a Home Depot parking lot. Replacing new rim, tire and cable assembly soon. I need to secure this thing to the vehicle. Anyone got any ideas?

I would go in vehicle, tire carrier with a wheel lock but, or welding a bracket you could lock a bar across.

Or go mad max and set up a bomb if they try to take anything......

Man, who would steal a spare tire? It's most likely a steel wheel with an old tire lol.

Sucks about your loss, and now I'm kinda paranoid about someone stealing mine off my tire carrier

Oh, it is. You just might get a visit from the local law enforcement afterwards.

Not to mention, having a bomb go off right next to your gas tank lol

Welcome to the Blazer Forum... Hate to hear someone stole the spare... I keep mine in the cargo area for now...

That sucks and is weird that someone would go to that trouble to get a spare tire off these trucks, even if it were brand new.

Are you sure it was clipped? On my Blazer the cable itself actually rusted through at the hanger and broke off one time when I was lifting it to the truck. Glad it didn't happen while I was driving.
