Default BTSI (break transmission solenoid interlock)switch?

so the vehicle year make and model. 1997 Chevy Blazer 4×4 almost 200,000 miles on vehicle. (my problem)my floor shift linkage will not come out of park even while pressing on the brake pedal! After all the research I've done, I believe it is the BTSI Solenoid. now before I start tearing apart my vehicle I would like to know where this solenoid is located? Are there any tips or guidelines that you have for me?[/COLOR]
