Default A/C Compessor Noise

My A/C Compressor just stated to make noise. It makes a grinding noise when the a-c is turned off, but it sounds fine when the A/C is on. So im thinking the bearing in the clutch is bad. Does anyone know if i can replace the bearing, or do i need to replace the A/C compressor.

Replace it NOW! happened to me. Thought "I'll get around to it".

Seized the pulley, snapped the belt and cost $1100 to fix.

I don't know how much it would cost doing it now but when it goes, it renders your truck useless till its fixed!
